Bottle Man Update 4/28 (Visions)


Major Changes

  • All four missions in the game have been finalized. 
  • Bottle Mans health system is now working, He can be damaged by cars, falling from heights, slipping on puddles, and various falling objects. In the next update you will be able to repair at health stations. 
  • A large majority of the level design in the city is complete. Beyond this build there will be continued detailing within the level and some platforming opportunities.
  • Sidewalks have been lowered allowing players to just walk over them instead of having to jump.
  • Many objects in the game are now even more interactable as we have utilized the joint based physic system in unity. Gates open when walked into, doors move, and many playground props can be interacted with. 
  •  More assets have been added into the game. 

General Changes

  • Some buildings were floating along with generic NPCs and props. A large majority of these have been fixed. 
  • UI elements were stretched or in the wrong place. These have been adjusted accordingly. 
  • The pause menu and main menu  function as intended now.
  • Many small adjustments were done to assets that had missing/broken textures, too much smoothing effects applied, missing faces, or any other small visual bugs.  
  • New animations have been made that will be implemented into the game at a later date. 

Known Bugs (Please note these are the bugs we are tracking actively. Our programmers are working diligently to fix them.)

  • Bottle Man tends to walk to the right and not a straight line. 
  • There is a delay to the ragdoll effect applied to Bottle Man when slipping or getting hit. 
  • When in the ragdoll after slipping you can control Bottle Man and make him spin around. 
  • Cars de-spawn before leaving the tunnel near the mechanic shop. 
  • If Bottle Man is hit by a car and dies you can control an invisible player controller. 
  • You can become stuck in the run animation
  • You can continually press the spacebar to jump and the animation will repeat. 
  • You can press "E" repeatedly in cutscenes to make Bottle Man repeat his talking animation.
  • It is possible to slip on puddles and oil spills when not directly over them and when you are seemingly jumping over them,
  • Ricky animation in cutscene loops after completing Debby's main mission. 
  • Occasionally getting hit by a vehicle will not trigger the ragdoll on Bottle Man
  • Some cars are not pathing correctly and clipping through curbs and objects
  •  When talking to Farmer Joe you can spawn multiple beans when repeatedly entering his dialogue. 
  • Some Cinemachine cameras are not set up properly.
